Gas prices expected to peak in June

The New York Times reports the government says it expects gasoline prices to peak at a national average of $3.73 a gallon in June.
Although one point of our trip is to go slow, there are days when it’s necessary to log some miles. Like in Canada and Alaska. In June, of course.

Dear Stan, Daria & Sierra,
SO you did it!! Woohoo!!! I am getting ready to retire from teaching this June and Dick and I too plan to be on the road. Let us know how the travel home works. I am not sure how long Dick would survive with me in “a tin can”. We have looked at lots of RVs and just shake our heads and wonder. But all that aside, you are already in places we plan to go. We hope to mountain bike in Moab. Are you considering Yellowstone? The Wolf Center Study there and other things of interest to Sierra are fantastic, check their web site out. On an aside, I hate to disappoint the “gas guessor” but it is already $3.77 here in Richmond, VA today. So keep a list of where to get gas on the cheap and on the way, Chevron helped my daughter and I plan the trip from Sacramento to Richmond with all of the stations along the way…it was very helpful. I am not sure where or when we will start but like you 3; we must have gypsey blood and a love of things wild, varied, and unusual in the USA.
