Let the Christmas markets begin

Less than a week after we were basking in the sun in Dubrovnik we were cold but happy in Vienna, visiting the Wiener Christkindlmarkt.
We drank Glüwein, shopped for ornaments, ate pastries and hauled home more for breakfast the next morning. A good time was had by all.
The Christkindlmarkt is one of several in Vienna, and turns the Rathaus into the largest Advent calendar in the world. We found more markets before we left Vienna, though none was as impressive, and expect to visit at least a half dozen more before we fly home.
