Seattle, Washington, sports the proud nickname of “The Emerald City.” It, like any other city, boasts tall buildings, fascinating sites, and buses that take you many places.
One of Seattle’s most famous landmarks is the Space Needle (here’s a photo of me at the base). Built for the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair, the Space Needle has a revolving restaurant, as well as an elevator to the top. At the top there is a snack bar, and also an observation deck with a view that could knock your socks off. There are also computer screens and cameras explaining about and showing parts of Seattle.
Another popular Seattle attraction is the Sci-Fi Museum (SFM), which combines with the Experience Music Project (EMP), creating a fairly large museum. The SFM has displays of just about everything sci-fi. The EMP has displays of many musical items, as well as a room where you can pretend to play just about any rock ‘n’ roll instrument.
The world’s largest REI (Recreational Equipment Inc.) is yet another feature in Seattle. It is so large it has elevators, a restaurant, a kid’s play area, and a HUGE equipment test area!
Another amazing place in Seattle is the library (left). It has 11 floors, 10 of which are public. It has escalators, an elevator, and a kid’s area as big as a cafeteria!
Another must-see Seattle area is Pike Place Market. This farmer’s market is very large. Also on the same road is the Pike Brewery & Pub. Pike Brewing, owned by Charles and Rose Ann Finkel, is packed with brewing memorabilia. It has delicious food and frequently plays host to multiple activities.
Next, there is the Klondike Gold Rush Museum. This is a national park with a junior ranger program. It appears to be a small shop from the street. But inside, it is a fun exhibit that seems to take you back to the time of the Gold Rush.
Last, but not least, is the Fremont Troll. This statue, which is under the Aurora Avenue Bridge, is very tall and is of a troll holding a Volkswagen Beetle. The troll is not smiling.

So, those are some notable places to see in Seattle. There are other attractions too, but these are absolute must-sees.
